True Spot Scopes, Inc. was founded in July 2002 by James Markwardt to
bring high quality lenses to the sport of archery.

Jim has over 33 years of experience in the wholesale optical industry. During
that time he also owned and operated a wholesale optical laboratory.  He then had
his first opportunity to supply glass lenses to archery scope manufacturers.

In the year 2001 Jim invented the concept of the True Spot lens.  As a fellow
archer he recognized the need for a accurate yet relaxing aiming system.
Since the eye can only focus on one object at a time he felt it was far better
to focus on the target without the need of a pin or aiming dot.

He also designed a scope housing to equal the quality
of the True Spot lens.  This housing is machined from solid aluminum with
an innovated design to provide rod support. In addition to a great scope and
lenses, Zeiss Gold Anti-Reflective Coating completes the package to assure
the best in target shooting.

In 2010 Eric Lydeen and Serena Mollenhauer joined the True Spot management team. Eric is a Pro archer who's worked closely with the product since nearly the beginning and Serena has been a staff shooter for several years. Both look forward to getting to know the other True Spot shooters better and taking True Spot to the next level.
